Security – functionality tradeoff (3)

In follow up to my previous post: not only were the feed links broken, James Hammond pointed out that the navigation links and article links were also broken. All is well now, as far as I can tell, but this was a leftover of the security problems I encountered a while back. A small fix in the settings of the HTTP server (related to URL rewriting) did the trick. No idea how I missed that, but another example of the delicate relation between functionality and security in the web publishing domain.

Which triggers another thing – I’ll have to get back to modeling and abstraction some time, and these seem interesting topics:

- Modeling security – Modeling variability

Any ideas on domain specific languages for those are welcome…
